But when it came to writing my own.....well, that was some tough stuff. Technically, I started writing the timeline about two months ago. It was just an effort to make sure I didn't forget what we did and when. I wanted to preserve that if there was something that could be gained or learned by it. Ultimately, it was such a depressing task to undertake - I couldn't just write it all in one sitting and be done with it. Plus, there was dealing with the fact that it started out as an effort of documenting our TTC journey. Sigh. Quite a bit different feeling than an infertility timeline. It literally took the breath out of me to type some of the information out. But there was healing in doing it too. Hard found, hard fought for healing.
So just a quick head's up that I've added a 'work-in-progress' timeline to the blog called 'Our Story'. If there is something we're not doing that you found to work for you - please share. If there's something you found that *didn't* work for you - please share it louder and faster! ;)
You can find the new tab at the top. And rest assured that I realize how much time, emotion, and effort it took to write the same information down on your own blog, if you have one. I had no idea before I did it myself. I'll streamline and fill in details as I have a chance to, y'all. There was just too much to chronicle and I was never going to publish it if I didn't just push the button and call it a work-in-progress.
At least July has been easy to write, right?! By the way, if you are following along, I still feel like a very happy pineapple over here. Or should I say a very happy dancing pineapple? Self-portrait to the left above! P+11 and feel amazing - THANK YOU, JESUS! <3
I am so glad you're feeling so happy (and pineapple-like)!!!!!! I love it! Thanks for sharing your journey. It can certainly be tough, but we all really benefit from one another's shared experiences...thanks for being a part of that :)
ReplyDeleteAfter blogging for a few months now, I recently did my timeline. When I started the blog, I wanted to blog about every event on the timeline, and that made me go back even further in time, and I realized that I don't have the time to write it all out, at least not right now. It feels good to have a timeline and not worry about much else besides updating what I'm actively experiencing.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to be here and to encourage you both and add you to our prayers! May God bless you both abundantly :) One of my friends is married to an Irishman! :)
